The Week Ahead
A damp week ahead unfortunately, the council's watching flooding risk, the ESB's letting water go at Leixlip Dam, and Castletown Drive's is closed until May.
Grant money applications are open (deadlines 27 Feb & 1 Mar), with help clinics running this week if you need a hand.

Top Things To Know
Flooding risk higher than usual — watch Clane especially
The council flagged elevated flooding risk across the county this week because the ground's saturated and the rivers are running high — Clane's specifically called out, but anywhere near the canal or low-lying routes could be affected. If you're doing school runs or commuting through, leave extra time.
Castletown Drive still shut til May
Castletown Drive in Celbridge is closed til Monday 11 May — been out since 20 January for water network upgrades, and there's signed diversions up but they're adding time if you're trying to get between Main Street and the R405.
Creative Communities Grant — free advice sessions all week
If you're part of a community group, school, arts club, or running any sort of local project, the council's doing Creative Communities Grant info sessions Monday through Wednesday this week. Application deadline's 6 March, so you've got time. See all of last year’s grants here.
County Development Plan changes — have your say before 9 March
Public consultation's open for proposed changes to the County Development Plan (the big one that decides zoning, transport, flood risk planning). You've til Monday 9 March to have a look and submit observations if something affects you — especially worth checking if you've got thoughts on how your town's developing, where housing's going, or transport links. All the documents are on the consultation portal, and you can filter by area.
Sallins: two new bus shelters proposed (deadline 20 Feb)
The council is proposing to put up two northbound bus shelters in Sallins — one at Hunterswood, one at Old Bridge. Drawings are on the consultation portal and you've til Friday 20 February at 5pm to submit feedback.
